ROCKET DOG ANNOUNCES NEW BRAND AMBASSADOR

Rocket Dog is pleased to announce British professional female Kite-boarder and model Sophie Mathews as a new member of its team.

Having windsurfed and surfed for many years Sophie started kiting in February 2007.  "I was teaching windsurfing in Venezuela when I was given a kite course as a Christmas present. That was it, from that moment on I went for it!" The following winter and after little time on the water over the summer Sophie left her windsurfing kit at home and headed to Brazil to give it her all.  Out there she got sponsorship and the next stop was the KPWT world tour.Since then Sophie has been a regular fixture at international standard events throughout the world - firstly competing at Junior level, then the Women's events.

Sophie's first competition was in St. Gilles Croix De Vie in France.  "I came 4th in Freestyle.  I was stoked, as I never expected this result!  It motivated me to continue on the tour where I ended up 7th overall at the end of the year, even after missing the competition in Greece due to a modelling assignment, then the last stop due to an ankle injury obtained in Brazil - hazards of being both a model and an action sports athlete."

Currently with Nobile Kiteboarding Team, Sophie works hard to promote the sport and her sponsors, both on and off the water. Well aware of the benefits of a healthy lifestyle, Sophie is also a qualified Personal Trainer, Sports Masseure and Nutritionist.

Tony Greenfield, the Managing Director of Rocket Dog Brands International said, "Sophie is the embodiment of healthy living. We're very proud to have another positive role model joining our team."

Sophie Mathews said "I am stoked to be a brand ambassador for Rocket Dog.  It is a fantastic opportunity and a huge complement to be part of such a fresh and innovative company always on top of the latest fashion and trends but with unique style. I am excited to see what the up and coming year has in store."

The Rocket Dog brand was brought to life in 1997, originating in southern California. The brand encapsulated the laid back ethos of Californian lifestyle, taking influences from street and surf styles and became the brand that young girls wanted to be seen in. Rocket Dog has since then grown into a globally recognised footwear brand and the range now covers sandals, pumps, sneakers, heels and boots.

The Rocket Dog consumer is an individually inspired female, who loves to find her own style and will happily mix high street purchases with vintage and second hand finds to create an independent look. Rocket Dog is a brand popular to an array of consumers around the world, each with their own styles, tastes and interests, from fashion through to music.

Sophie Mathews joins current British and World female In-Line Skate champion Jenna Downing and British Snowboarder Rebecca Cullum as a Rocket Dog Brand Ambassador.

ROCKET DOG ANNOUNCES NEW BRAND AMBASSADOR

Rocket Dog is pleased to announce British professional female snowboarder, model and photographer Rebecca Cullum as a new member of its team.

Rebecca spent many of her childhood weekends travelling around the UK with her parents supporting her older brother as he entered snowboarding competitions. At the age of 13 she decided to stop watching and start competing and just 3 months after jumping on a snowboard for the first time ever, she finished 4th at her first competition!

Since then Rebecca has been a regular fixture at international standard events throughout the world - firstly competing at Junior level, then the Women's events.

Now 18, Rebecca is comfortable at all the major disciplines - whether it be on the slope, the half-pipe or performing big air stunts - and is now a frequent personality and fixture on the international circuit, but more importantly an even more regular fixture on the podiums, especially the top step!

Education is important to Rebecca as well and whilst keen to keep up her studies during her teenage years she is now free to concentrate on snowboarding professionally full-time. She has been successfully modelling for years, but is also now enthusiastic to get behind the camera as well as she is nurturing her other major talent of photography.

Tony Greenfield, the Managing Director of Rocket Dog Brands International said, "This is another great example of a strong, positive role model for young women choosing to wear Rocket Dog. We are very excited to be working with her."

Rebecca Cullum said "I'm so excited to be working with Rocket Dog! What girl wouldn't! Endless shoes...Heaven!!! I feel Rocket Dog will support me on and off the slopes to achieve my goals!"

Last Friday, Saturday and Sunday saw leading UK indoor skate park Rampworx, in Liverpool, host the Chaz Sands International event. Chaz is the UK mens number 1 in-line skater and the event was major stop on the WSA World Tour whose grand final will be held in San Diego.

Competing in the girls category was Rocket Dog's very own brand ambassador Jenna Downing - much to the relief of some of the men as she entered a UK Men's competition last weekend and came 3rd!

The top 3 girls won a host of goodies including Rocket Dog. The event was a major success, but even more so for Rocket Dog as Jenna won!!!!

ROCKET DOG ANNOUNCES NEW BRAND AMBASSADOR

ROCKET DOG ANNOUNCES NEW BRAND AMBASSADOR

Rocket Dog is pleased to announce professional inline skater and female world number 1 Jenna Downing as a new member of its team.

Jenna has been the British Champion for 10 years and has been the European and World Champion and has competed at various other global championships and won many awards including the UK Freesports Athlete of the Year award in 2005.  Jenna was only the second female in the world (the first in Europe) to successfully perform a ‘900 degree spin’ – that’s two and a half rotations in the air! Her media exposure has been extensive. Appearing in many national magazines and newspapers, she has also done wide-ranging television work including appearances on The Big Breakfast, CITV, This Morning, Sky Sports and Hollyoaks, as well as appearing in television commercials for Kelloggs and The Nationwide Bank and also MTV music videos. Add to that list appearances on Disney shows, being a character in a PlayStation2 and X-Box game........she has even been Holly Willoughby’s stunt double!

Her recent focus has been on her mentoring and educational roles where she has been a positive role model for young girls in a bid to not only attract more to her sport, but also to encourage more of them to be active and take part in more sport generally.

 Skate

Not only is all of the above impressive, it’s even more so when you consider she is only 21 years old!

Tony Greenfield, the Managing Director of Rocket Dog Brands International said, "This is a tremendously exciting opportunity for Rocket Dog. It's not often you get the chance to work with World Champions, but even less often that they fit your brand and appeal to your demographic so well. Jenna is a strong and positive role model for women everywhere and we're pleased she has chosen to wear Rocket Dog's."

Jenna Downing said: "I am really excited to be the new brand ambassador for Rocket Dog. Their unique style really appeals to me and the lifestyle that I lead. With such a broad range, there is a style of shoe for anything and anyone!  I look forward to working with Rocket Dog in the future."
